A worldwide phenomenon is quickly spreading in the drone community: Fear

As it happened years ago, at the dawn of the internet age, there was widespread fear of the never seen before information network.

Such a feeling towards the unknown triggered different authorities to issue the most absurd and senseless prohibitions and regulations.

Once again, this has happened in Sweden, as it’s currently happening in Italy as well.

Both countries are being hit by legislation which would make North Korean government officials blush in shame, prohibiting even small drone models used in amateur racing (https://www.linkedin.com/groups/12005383).

The United States, initially, also had a restrictive set of rules, which, once recognized as such, were noticeably relaxed, giving birth to a new industry which made the market explode, generating thousands of new jobs and making the US the first worldwide market for drone services.

About the internet, common sense has prevailed with time. Our only hope is for the same to happen for the drone sector as well.
